From the Illinois times:

Here’s the idea: take four singer-songwriters, set them on stage then let them sing their songs and talk about the inspiration behind the tunes. Springfield songwriter Pete Sander participated in a Chicago round robin song swap before creating his Homegrown Folk Show. The first public viewing last month was a smashing success and for January the elated and organized tunesmith scheduled Ben Bedford, Dave Littrell (from the Station) and Ashley Riley (from Jodyboss), each accomplished songwriters outstanding in their respective fields. Sander began looking for ways of self-expression as a teenager then several years later discovered the possibilities of acoustic folk music. Soon he donned a guitar and harmonica and started writing songs and playing gigs. Last year saw the release of his first full-length recording with album number two in the works for an early spring 2011 appearance. Sander, who plays all over town, is now branching out into the Midwest as he solidifies the position of singer-songwriter as an occupation.
